NBA Preview/Players to Watch

Predictions

Many Texas teams have a legit shot to win this. Leading the Texas charge will be the Houston Superstars 3 Stripes who have been hot lately. The Houston Westside All Stars and Houston Select if healthy both have the talent to take it all. The Dallas Mustangs Blue, an all 16 year old team will have as much talent as anyone, but of course they are a young. The Austin Dawgs Red have won two shootouts, but with a short rotation ( 6 players) and all the games, depth will be a factor. Our two overall favorites are the Louisiana Sports Academy Cubs and the Arkansas Wings #1. The Tulsa Jr. Hurricanes check in right behind with an impressive resume this summer. Keep an eye on the Louisiana Stars Select and Kansas City Pump n Run, both of whom have a talented roster. Here's our players and teams to watch.

Out of state teams

Louisiana Sports Academy Cubs- Led by class of 2004  6-8 330 pound BF Glen "Big Baby" Davis the Cubs won the Adidas Texas Classic and made the championship round at Kingwood. 2005 WF Tasmin Mitchell is a top 5 talent in the class of 2005. Legit title contender.

Arkansas Wings- The team they brought to the Plano shootout was without their two best players. Top talent 6-11 Arkansas commit Steven Hill. Hill who is compared to Raef LaFrentz and Nick Collison is a solid talent inside. This team is big and athletic, took Team Texas (with Horton and Aldridge) to the wire at Kingwood.

Tulsa Jr. Hurricanes- Won the Dallas Mustangs Invitational, and finished in the top 4 at the Bob Gibbons TOC. Led by 2004 G Prentis Elliott and 2004 G's Eric Payne and Nolan Richardson IV.

Arkansas Hawks- Led by 6-6 2004 WF Marcus Monk a high major talent, the Hawks are a legit threat to win it all.

Kansas City Pump n Run- Led by the youngest Rush brother, 6-6 Brandon Rush.

Miami City Ballers- 2006 team...Finished 8th at 15 & under nationals. Led by 2006 WG Edwin Rios of Miami Christian.

Coast to Coast- Led by 2004 PG Lemire Goldwire

-Texas Squads-

Solid guard play from two Colorado State commits, WG Sean Morris and PG Charlie Jones III, as well as BF/C Connor Atchley of Clear Lake ( Texas commit). The last time Westside had all of their players together, they made a deep run to the semi-finals of the Bob Gibbons TOC.
