The final day is completed from the Plano Shootout. The NBA division was taken by the Austin Dawgs, the NIT by Houston Swoosh Blue.

We started out the morning by catching the game between Fort Worth MLK Mash (Dunbar) and the Austin Dawgs. Wow let's just start off with that summary of Jeremis Smith this morning. Smith had 26 first half points en route to a game high 45. Smith did as he pleased all day long, if he'd been sent to the line a few more times (which he should have been) and if Dunbar had gone to him more down the stretch he could have gotten 60 even 70. Unstoppable is all you can say about him. Dunbar's 43-40 halftime lead withered away in the second half as the Austin Dawgs got red hot. 2004 F Chuck Foster of Austin LBJ led the Dawgs with 30, and 2005 G AJ Abrams of Round Rock McNeil had 25, Matt Braeuer (2004 Belton G) added 17. Dunbar was led by 2004 F Jeremis Smith with 45 points and 12 rebounds, 2004 G Dominique Williams had 15 points and 4 assists, and 2004 G Jeff Muriel added 13. In other early action, Team Ft. Worth hung on to down the Houston Hoops 16's who lost Fendi Onobun to an ankle injury. The Dallas Dirty Dozen downed the DFW Hoopsters and the San Antonio Rohawks edged the San Antonio Bulls.

In the semi-finals Team Fort Worth held off a late rally from the Dallas Dirty Dozen to advance to the title game. At the same time, the Austin Dawgs handled the San Antonio Rohawks 70-52. The Rohawks had a 19-11 lead midway through the first half and were outscored 22-6 to end the half. 2004 G Matt Braeuer led the charge with 32 points, 6 rebounds, and 6 assists. Braeuer canned 8 threes on the afternoon. 2004 BF Patrick Britton of San Antonio Southwest had 11 points and 10 rebounds to pace the Rohawks.

In the NIT title game, Houston Swoosh led by 2006 G's Harrison Smith of Houston Jones and OJ Avworo of Alief Elsik handled Houston No Limit by 25. No Limit was led by 2006 F Stephen Tyree of Strake Jesuit, 2006 G/F Matt Wilson of Cooper, and 2006 F Franklin Mitchem of Klein Collins.

In the NBA title game, the Austin Dawgs took the title 80-77 over Team Fort Worth. The guys from Funky-Town will be kicking themselves over this one. A three point lead late in the game for Team FW vanished, as they committed 5 turnovers in the last 2 1/2 minutes. AJ Abrams bombed away leading the Dawgs to victory, scoring 32 points  Chuck Foster added 14. Team Ft. Worth was led by 2004 F Will Hensley of Midlothian who had 17 points and 8 rebounds. 2004 G Thomas Cook of Ft. Worth South Hills had 12 points and 3 assists, and F Jamon Morris of Ft. Worth Eastern Hills had 11 points and 10 rebounds.
